As a natural material, variations in colour and grain are expected, giving each piece a unique character. Newly delivered Teak units may have surface oil, which will disappear within 7-10 days as the wood acclimates to its environment.
Over time, the natural golden hue of Teak will age to a silver-grey patina. If you prefer to retain the golden appearance, regular application of Teak treatments can help preserve its original look. The British climate, known for its unpredictability, can cause small cracks or checks to appear in the wood, particularly during fluctuations in humidity and temperature. These natural occurrences do not affect the strength or longevity of the unit.
Your recently arrived Teak units may show traces of surface oil. This is perfectly normal and any residue will disappear within 7-10 days as your units adjust to their new surroundings.
