Manufactured using reclaimed Teak throughout, every cabinet offers natural resistance to moisture, rot, insect activity and fungal decay thanks to the timber’s inherent oils and density. This makes the unit exceptionally well suited to outdoor use while requiring minimal ongoing maintenance.
It’s important to note that surface oil may be present on your newly delivered Teak items, but this is normal and will disappear within 7 to 10 days as the units acclimatise. As a natural material, Teak will display variations in colour, grain and texture, contributing to the individuality of each kitchen. Over time, untreated timber will naturally mature into an even silver-grey patina, although its original tone can be preserved with appropriate Teak care treatments if preferred.
The British climate can be unpredictable, and you may notice small cracks or checks in the timber during periods of fluctuating humidity and temperature, particularly on exposed end grain. These natural movements are cosmetic only and will not affect the structural integrity or longevity of the kitchen.
