Constructed entirely from reclaimed Teak, each cabinet is naturally resistant to moisture, rot, insect activity and fungal decay thanks to the timber’s high concentration of natural oils. With minimal maintenance required, the unit is built to provide many years of reliable outdoor use.
It’s important to note that surface oil may be present on your newly delivered Teak items, but this is normal and will disappear within 7 to 10 days as the units acclimatise. Teak is a natural material, meaning variations in colour, grain and texture are to be expected and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Over time, untreated Teak will gradually develop an even silver-grey patina, although the original tone can be maintained through the application of suitable Teak care products.
The British climate can be unpredictable, and you may notice small cracks or checks in the timber during periods of fluctuating humidity and temperature, particularly on end grain sections. These natural movements are purely cosmetic and will not affect the structural integrity or longevity of the kitchen.
