As with all units in the Teak collection, each cabinet is unique thanks to the use of 100% reclaimed Teak. The timber’s natural oils and minerals provide exceptional resistance to water, rot, insects, fungal decay, and mildew, making the unit virtually maintenance-free.
Upon delivery, a surface oil coating may be present on your Teak cabinet—this is normal and will dissipate naturally within 7–10 days as the wood acclimatises. Over time, the timber will develop the distinctive silver-grey patina of aged Teak. For those wishing to retain the original golden tones, periodic Teak treatment can help preserve its warm colour.
Due to the ever-changing British climate, minor checking or cracking may appear, particularly on the end grain, caused by natural expansion and contraction. These changes are purely cosmetic and do not compromise the unit’s durability or structural integrity.
