Upon delivery, your Teak cabinet may have a surface oil coating, this is normal and will naturally dissipate within 7–10 days as the wood acclimates to its environment. Teak’s natural variations in grain and colour give each unit its own unique character. Over time, the timber will develop a silver-grey patina, characteristic of aged Teak, though periodic application of Teak treatment can maintain its original golden tone.
Due to the unpredictable British climate, minor checking or cracking may occasionally appear, particularly on end grain, as the wood expands and contracts with temperature and humidity changes. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity or longevity of the unit.
