Upon delivery, your Teak unit may have a surface oil coating, this is normal and will naturally dissipate within 7 to 10 days as the wood acclimatises. Teak’s natural variations in colour and grain give each cabinet its own distinctive character. Over time, the timber will develop a silver-grey patina, characteristic of aged Teak. Periodic application of Teak treatment can help maintain the original golden hue if desired.
Due to the unpredictable British climate, minor cracking or checking may occasionally appear, particularly on the end grain, as the wood expands and contracts with temperature and humidity fluctuations. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the durability or structural integrity of the unit.
