As a natural material, Teak exhibits variations in colour, grain, and other characteristics, which are to be expected due to the diverse nature of reclaimed wood. Upon arrival, your new Teak units may show signs of surface oil, a normal occurrence that will dissipate within seven to ten days as the wood acclimatises to its new environment.
Over time, the timber will naturally age, developing a distinctive silver-grey patina that is synonymous with high-quality Teak. This transformation is part of the wood’s charm and does not diminish its strength or durability. The British climate can be unpredictable, which is why all timber used in our products is kiln-dried and stabilised before machining and assembly, minimising the risk of warping or shrinking. However, minor checks or cracks may occasionally appear, particularly on the end grain. These natural occurrences, caused by fluctuations in humidity and temperature, are completely normal and should not compromise the integrity of your coffee bar.
